Welcome to the Superspiel College Bonspiel!
The bonspiel will be held at Nutmeg Curling Club from Friday January 26 - Sunday January 28. Draw information will be available the week before the bonspiel. The first draw will be no earlier than 5:00pm and we will do our best to accommodate schools coming from further away with later draw times. Nearly all teams will have a Friday draw time. Last draw on Sunday will start no later than noon.
Before January 9, we will confirm only one team per school on a first come first served basis. You can, however, request more teams (we plan to host a bigger spiel this year). If after Jan 9th, we still have some space in the spiel, slots for a second or third team will be allocated. Any university who wishes to have a second or third team should indicate this on the sign up form. To get information on the likelihood of being allowed to send more than one team contact Fabian Schrey. The decision for second and third teams will be made by January 14th.
For the discounted rate at the Courtyard in Shelton for 95 USD/night you have the option of calling reservations at 1-800-321-2211 and asking for "College Bonspiel" group rate or by using the online link. It is important that guests make any special rooming preferences (i.e. cribs, feather free, wheelchair accessible, Queen/Queen, etc.) at time of booking so that the property is prepared for their arrival. Your group room rate is available until January 12th, at which time we will release any unsold rooms for sale to the general publicThe registration fee is $160. This amount is non-refundable.
